ABOUT

It all started when…

I watched “Almost Famous” in fifth grade. Really. That’s when I knew I wanted to be a journalist. I even wrote about it here.

Though I didn’t go on a cross-country tour of America with a rock band, I have gotten to do some pretty cool things in my career, like interview First Lady Michelle Obama (she told me I had “the cutest dimples”), host a podcast mini-series with Microsoft, give a TEDxTeen talk, and help build some of the first communities for young writers on the internet.

I was named one of the “Most Influential Young Women of 2015” by Teen Vogue, a “bona fide teen expert” (Business Insider, 2016), and called “the most impressive influence on the re-branding of MTV News” (The Des Moines Register, 2016). I was also included in Brooklyn Magazine's "30 Under 30" (2018) list and The Sociable’s “30 Under 30 Most Influential People in Marketing, Advertising and Social Media” (2018). My tweets sometimes get featured in listicles, which is especially thrilling to my mother.

I regularly speak at conferences and industry events, which have included The White House, New York Social Media Week, SXSW, and VidCon.

I’ve spent over a decade immersed in youth culture and bring a special perspective to the issues and topics unique to Get Z. I know these burgeoning consumers and the brands they love, making me equipped to help you meaningfully reach this audience and build authentic connections.

You can head over to my LinkedIn for more Professional Stuff™, but I swear I’m more fun on Twitter. In the meantime, check out LATE BLOOMER, my newsletter for teen girls, on Substack.
